I started this cardigan on 1/12/2012. and I am almost done with the first skein of yarn. It's knitting up beautifully. So different an experience from the previous two sweaters I've knit.
The first sweater I knit was a great Debbie Bliss Pattern but the yarn that was chosen, though a beautiful color and texture, was a horrible finished product that has stretched and pilled to no end.
The second sweater I did was made with a bright robins egg blue with flecks of miscellaneous color. The yarn was called "Blossom". I immediately fell in love with it. I picked my pattern and even though my instructors thought me crazy for choosing the extremely fuzzy yarn I started my project. After three months of knitting and errors... I sat on my couch and in a 1/2 hr ripped out 3 months of work. Balled it up and threw it in the back of the closet. A few months to a year later I hauled it back out again and preceded to begin again and finished it. But it just wasn't what I envisioned. The this last fall I bought a bought a book called "Coastal Knits" and fell in love once again with the "Water's Edge Cardigan" pattern. I am so surprised at how fast this is knitting up. I've had the yarn in my stash forever and its such a beautiful Green color that its so much fun to see it come into shape.
