Well I did it! I won a 3rd place ribbon at the State Fair. I can hardly believe it. All my hard work paid off! I still feel like I'm walking on air...

Here's the final all blocked.

I feel so proud!!!! I dropped this off at the Puyallup Fair for judging.
I am so giddy and excited to go to the fair tomorrow (9/5/14) to see if I won anything. This project was my first lace AND first beaded project. It also took me 6 months to finish.  Stay tuned on my blog to see if there will be a ribbon picture posted!!!!

The Morticia

Sorry it's been a long time since I blogged. Summer I was working on finishing a pair of socks for my daughters MIL.

Next up was a pair of socks I saw in a knitting magazine. The pattern was called Sand Dunes. The designer even asked to use my picture in Ravelry! What an honor:

Now I am currently working on a mystery KAL (knit a long) where each week you get a different clue. The project started on 10/1/2013 and we were to have it completed by oct 31st. Sadly I am way behind and just finishing clue 2 and it's 11/1. Oh well, it's going to be beautiful. We do know its a scarf designed by Boo knits. It is called Morticia and this is my first lace project and my first project placing beads.

The Gloves are off - Or shall I say the Gauntlets have been thrown...

Here are my finished Ringwood Gloves (Gauntlets) They turned out awesome. there was only one little hitch and that was I must have miss counted my rows for the cuff because the both end the same way. Instead of opposite directions so one you'll be able to see the buttons and the other you won't. Of course I didn't realize this until the end (thinking all along they were fine..) and then I did not want to rip them out. So since it's my first glove I will chalk it up to learning and next time I will know. They turned out really nice in the MadelineTosh DK: Cousteau.

April and May were very productive months... I also Knit two Seedy Bow Bands (headbands) one in Pink and one in Purple for my Sister-in-law and my Neice - both of which were belated birthday presents!

I havce now started a pair of socks for my daughter Meg's MIL. She wanted some wild & crazy socks so I decided on the Flutter-By pattern in Trekking Hand Art Yarn. The color is Colombo. Here they are so far:

I have been a very busy girl....

Ringwood Gloves

I've decided to try my hand at knitting gloves. I've knitted mittens in the past but never gloves. I found this wonderful pattern on Ravelry called "Ringwood Gloves".  ZuZu decided she wanted to be in the picture. So far the pattern is going really well.

The HitchHiker

I've started knitting on my Scarf: The Hitchhiker.

Here's a close up picture so you can really see the colors this has. The yarn is from See Jayne Knit and the color is Melted Popsicle Puddle.

I've joined an awesome group on Ravelry called: "Our Gathering Place" and they are doing a Springing into Spring KAL and I've entered this scarf into the KAL. Should be fun and keep me on track!!!

This is such an easy pattern - I just love it.... I am looking forward to trying one of her other patterns that uses old scraps of sock yarn!!! What a better way to showcase your favorite left over sock yarn than in a scarf...
